Last spring, the Supreme Court struck down a crucial section of the Voting Rights Act aimed at fighting voter suppression, particularly disenfranchisement of people of color. And it did not take any time before moves for Voter ID laws and other forms of disenfranchisement began popping up.
Voting restrictions aimed at communities of color disproportionately impact women in those communities. Extremists have passed voter suppression laws in numerous states, and they are airing misleading campaign ads designed to confuse voters and discourage them from going to the polls. A democracy can’t function this way. Your governor needs to hear from you today!
