Please join Chicago NOW at the 7th annual Equal Pay Day Rally on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from noon until 1 pm at Richard J. Daley Plaza, Clark and Washington in Chicago, to demand that women be paid equal pay for equal work.

Kalianget Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the year women must work to make what men earned the previous year. According to the report “What is the Gender Pay Gap and Is It Real” published by the Economic Policy Institute in October 2016, the average woman is paid 83 cents per every dollar the average man is paid. Applied to an hourly wage, it means women bring home $3.27 less per hour than men. The median hourly wage is $15.67 for women and $18.94 for men.

Please sign up here to join Chicago NOW activists at the rally, which will be held inside Daley plaza if it rains. We will send you an e-mail on Wednesday, March 29 letting you know where our group will be meeting.

Hope to see you there!
