This team advocates for equality among LGBTQ Chicagoans. CNOW supported the campaign for marriage equality in Illinois, and at the close of 2013, we were thrilled to see it come to fruition. But there are still many important outstanding issues of justice and equality that impact the LGBTQ community in Chicago and beyond, from adoption and equal opportunities to ending violence and youth homelessness.
In the past, CNOW has participated in Northalsted Market Days, the Chicago Pride Parade and Dyke March. The team has also held events for National Coming Out Day and has participated in the Gay Games.
