March for Women's Lives
To demonstrate overwhelming
majority support for a
woman's right to choose safe, legal abortion and birth
control, the largest pro-choice majority in history
will march on Washington, Sunday April 25, 2004.
Chicago NOW invites and encourages you to travel with
us to the nation's capital. There we will join up
with thousands of our national coalition partners,
including members of Planned Parenthood, NARAL
Pro-Choice America, Feminist Majority, the Black
Women's Health Imperative and the National Latina
Institute for Reproductive Health. We will assemble
at 10a.m. at the Lincoln Memorial, the march will
begin at noon, and after the march, a rally will be
held from 1-4p.m. on the National Mall.

The March for Women's Lives unites women and
men from
across the United States and the world to advance the
right to choose. Choice holds a different meaning for
each person, and Chicago NOW respects the diverse
range of choices made with regard to health,
sexuality, and family. Reproductive freedom is allied
to social, economic, political, and human rights, and
we join in solidarity with those who are committed to
such rights in an effort to advance choices for
everyone. We advocate an end to the inequality,
discrimination, and oppression that are barriers to
the realization of the right to choose. This march
celebrates individuals of every age, race, ethnicity,
nationality, language, ability, immigration status,
marital status, income, geography, religion, gender,
and sexual orientation, as we make our voices heard
through our collective pro-choice power.
In the coming months, we will provide more details and
logistics about how we plan to send thousands of
pro-choice Illinoisans to D.C. In the meantime,
remember to mark your calendar and tell your friends
to save Sunday, April 25 for the March for Women's
Lives!
Chicago NOW is partnering with the Planned Parenthood
affliates of Illinois to bring pro-choice Illinoisans
to Washington DC.
* Please note that we will not have bus assignments,
pick-up points and times available until the beginning
of April 2004. This information will be sent directly
to individuals who pre-pay for their bus seat. If you
purchase more than one bus seat at a time, your group
will be seated on the same bus to the best of our
ability. If you are traveling with a delegation or
large group of twenty or more and would like to have
your group on the same bus, please contact us directly

Also note that since the buses will be driving
straight through to and from DC, there will be no need
to make lodging accomodations. Buses will leave
Illinois Saturday evening, arrive DC Sunday morning,
then depart for the return trip to Illinois Sunday
evening. Buses should arrive back in Illinois Monday
