Discussion points & Goals:

§         5 year plan: Universal Health Care in Illinois (potentially the nation)

§         The time seems to be right –

§         On all the democratic nominee issue lists

§         Addressed on pg. 4 of National NOW Times winter 2003/ 2004 issue

§         Contact existing organizations we can team with

§          Goals for 2004:

§         Symposium on Postpartum

§         Panel would consist of Ob/Gyns and Psychologists

§         Discussion of 12 month human gestation period

§         Discussion of required continual treatment of mother

§         Symposium suggested for May – tie into Mother’s Day events

§         Direct Action – leafleting

§         Leafleting on Love Your Body Day regarding silicone implants, plastic surgery & eating disorders
