This year we honor:

Toni M. Bond has served as the Executive Director of the Chicago Abortion Fund since 1994. The first woman of color to serve as CAF's Director, she is also the only African American woman leading a reproductive health organization in the entire state. Prior to CAF, Bond was the Medical Advocate at the Harriet M. Harris Center (YWCA/Chicago), where she coordinated the medical advocacy component of its rape crisis center. Toni sits on the board of numberous organizations, and co-founded African American Women Evolving. She speaks all over the country on reproductive rights.


Peggy Kusinski is the afternoon SportsCenter Anchor on ESPN Radio 1000, and host of The Point After on Saturday mornings. Before her stint with ESPN, she was the first woman to host a sports talk show in Chicago, hosting The Sports Huddle on WMAQ. Peggy began her career in 1996 at CLTV, was a producer for CBS and NBC, and also anchored the 2000 Summer Olympics for ABC Radio Sports. Kusinski is a graduate of South Illinois University, and lives with her husband Jason in Chicago.
