Goals for 2006:

In 2006, the Chicago NOW Women’s Health team will focus on issues surrounding the creation of a healthy life at any age.

• We will organize a local observance of Love Your Body Day. Love Your Body Day was created by national NOW and is devoted to exploring and challenging pervasive cultural body ideals. It is a day for women of all ages to celebrate their bodies. For more information on Love Your Body Day see http://loveyourbody.nowfoundation.org

• We will organize a round table discussion on “Health Questions You Always Wanted to Ask.”

• We are planning other activities addressing women’s health issues:

• A panel discussion - potential topics include: maternity/paternity leave, affordable healthcare, fertility/infertility

• A life balance/self-care fundraiser - potential activities include: yoga, spa treatments, workshops

• A public awareness campaign - creating and distributing a flyer on the top 10 women’s health misconceptions.
