Women In Media & News (WIMN), a national media analysis, education and advocacy group, was founded in 2002 by media critic and journalist Jennifer L. Pozner with guidance from a diverse team of directors and advisors including journalists, feminists, social justice activists and media reform advocates.

Estrojam
The Estrojam Music and Culture Festival is an annual 501C3 not-for-profit, community-based event that features internationally acclaimed and emerging musicians and artists, educators, activists, and community leaders in dozens of events, including concerts, workshops, panels, and a film festival presented at Chicago’s best venues.

Estrojam is organized by women and open to all. Our mission is to help build and foster a supportive arts community that inspires, educates, breaks down stereotypes, and encourages bold creative expression.

WOMEN MAKE MOVIES
Established in 1972 to address the under representation and misrepresentation of women in the media industry, Women Make Movies is a multicultural, multiracial, non-profit media arts organization which facilitates the production, promotion, distribution and exhibition of independent films and videotapes by and about women. The organization provides services to both users and makers of film and video programs, with a special emphasis on supporting work by women of color. Women Make Movies facilitates the development of feminist media through an internationally recognized Distribution Service and a Production Assistance Program.
